The quick and favorite easy treat is also easy to make top 8 allergen free!
For butter: a dairy, nut, and soy free alternative is a perfect replacement for standard butter or margarine. Our go to is the Smart Balance brand Olive oil spread! It has a great flavor and has acted like butter in every recipe I’ve used it in. This is no exception.
Marshmallows are pretty easy to find allergen free. They’re primarily processed sugar, but always read your ingredients lists to make sure!
Then the rice crispie cereal, the Kellogg’s brand that they carry at my local grocery store boasts it’s gluten free on the box and when checking the ingredients they are also free of the other allergens as well. If you have other brands at your store be sure to check their ingredients, but I haven’t had to look far to find safe rice crispies.
I have found that, really the only ingredient change you need to make for this recipe is the butter! If you have a favorite butter replacement that acts like butter, I’d definitely recommend trying that before buying a new one.
Then comes the fun part! Making the dish!
